This website is operated by Banyan Therapeutics Pte. Ltd. ("Banyan Therapeutics", "we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated in Singapore with Unique Entity Number 202553634R and registered office at 540 Sims Avenue, Sims Avenue Centre, #03-05, Singapore 387603.
We are the organisation responsible for the personal data collected through this website.
2.Scope of this policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit banyantx.com or contact us through it, why we collect it, how we handle it, and what rights you have. It does not apply to third-party websites we may link to.
3.Personal data we collect
Information you give us. If you submit our contact form or email us, we collect the details you provide. These are your name, email address, organisation if you give one, the nature of your enquiry, and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting provider and analytics tools record limited technical information, which may include your IP address or a truncated form of it, browser and device type, referring page, the pages you viewed, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to understand aggregate site usage and to keep the site secure and functioning.
We do not collect special categories of data through this website, and we ask that you do not send us health information, information about other identifiable individuals, or confidential information through the contact form.
4.Why we use it
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- to respond to your enquiry and to correspond with you about it
- to evaluate and progress potential investment, partnership, collaboration or employment discussions that you initiate
- to operate, secure, maintain and improve the website
- to comply with applicable law and to protect our legal rights
We do not use the personal data collected through this website for advertising, and we do not sell it.
5.Legal basis
Under the PDPA we rely on your consent, which you give when you choose to submit the contact form, and on the deemed consent and legitimate interests provisions where applicable. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, see section 11.
6.Cookies and analytics
This website does not place cookies or similar technologies on your device. We measure aggregate usage with Netlify Analytics, which works from our hosting provider's server records rather than from cookies or scripts in your browser; see Netlify's privacy policy at https://www.netlify.com/privacy/. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.
7.Disclosure to others
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We may disclose it to:
- service providers who operate the website and our business systems on our behalf, including website hosting, form processing, analytics and email, in each case only to the extent needed to provide those services
- professional advisers, including legal, accounting and insurance advisers, where reasonably required
- government or regulatory authorities, where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal rights
- a counterparty and its advisers in connection with a corporate transaction such as a financing, acquisition, merger or reorganisation, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections
8.International transfers
We are based in Singapore. Some of our service providers process data outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred out of Singapore, we take reasonable steps to ensure a standard of protection comparable to that required by the PDPA, including through contractual commitments with those providers.
9.Retention
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law. Enquiries that do not lead to an ongoing relationship are normally deleted or anonymised within 24 months of our last correspondence with you. This includes copies held by our service providers, such as enquiries stored by our form processor.
10.Security
We apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11.If you are in the UK or EEA
Where UK or EU data protection law applies to our processing, our legal bases are your consent, our legitimate interests in operating our business and responding to enquiries, and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time, and you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
12.Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you and information about how it has been used or disclosed in the past year
- ask us to correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete
- withdraw your consent to our continued use of your personal data
- ask us to delete personal data we no longer need
To make a request, contact us using the details in section 14. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. A reasonable fee may apply to an access request, as permitted by the PDPA, and we will tell you before any fee is incurred.
